My daily drawings project from April 2015:
“The last few months have been my busiest ever. Which is fantastic! I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some great clients on some really cool jobs – including a wonderful graphic novel project which I’m just getting started on, and which will keep me busy for the next year or so. It’s a fantastic story and I’m thrilled.
The upshot of this is that I’ve had very little time for anything other than client work, so I’ve decided to start a new project to push me a bit creatively, to try new things and relieve some of the pressure of constantly working to brief. I call it: Daily Drawings!
Ok, so the idea is that every day I will do one drawing. This can be anything from a five minute pencil sketch to anatomical studies to photo collages to digital painting to… anything, really. The only rule is that it can’t be for work work.
So here is what I did today. I think it’s a dinosaur skull, but I have no idea what kind of dinosaur it’s from as the photo I was looking at didn’t say. Could be a dragon.”
